Over 100 people attended the fourth Medtech Innovation Event on September 3, 2018, hosted by Dr. Heiko Visarius from Visartis Healthcare GmbH at Switzerland Innovation Park Biel/Bienne.
Focusing exclusively on medtech, the event was again co-organized by Swiss Medtech, be-advanced and Switzerland Innovation Park Biel/Bienne (SIP BB) with the aim of bringing business, science and investors together.
Among those providing inspiration to delegates were Beat Lechmann, Director R&D Innovation Trauma at DePuy Synthes Companies, Dr. Dorina Thiess, CEO and Cofounder of Piavita AG, with her keynote speech “Lessons from a successful entrepreneur”, Euresearch with their support services for innovators, be-advanced, SIP BB and CERN. Visitors also enjoyed the many 1-to-1 meetings.
VIP Event for CTO Medtech Club Members
Just like last year, the Medtech Innovation Event provided an opportunity for the CTO Medtech Club to meet. On a tour of the Swiss Smart Factory (SSF) with Dr. Dominic Gorecky, Head of the SSF, they were given a taste of Switzerland’s first testing and demonstration facility for Industry 4.0.
