The link between research and industry was on the agenda at an event organized by the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber in cooperation with the Embassy of Switzerland in Austria, the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) and the Swiss Business Hub Austria. On the program during this half-day forum in Vienna at the end of May were talks by Professor Manfred Krammer and Anders Unnervik from CERN, Raymond Cron, CEO of Switzerland Innovation, and Andreas Reuter from the Swiss Commission for Technology and Innovation (CTI).
During this diverse range of talks, Switzerland was clearly presented as an innovation country. The event offered Switzerland Innovation an excellent opportunity to present the project and discuss its benefits in front of an audience of economic experts and company representatives. The Switzerland Innovation model – sites in close proximity to universities and world-leading research institutes – and the focus areas of the individual sites generated a great deal of interest among the participants.
