MISSION ROSETTA – SUMMER CAMP FOR KIDS

More than 270 children took part in Mission Rosetta, three kids camps during the 2017 summer break organized by MINT & Pepper in a former airplane hangar on the grounds of the Switzerland Innovation Park Zurich in Dübendorf.

The theme of the camps was the space probe that made a controlled landing on the Churyumov comet in 2016. The talented youngsters ranging in age from 10 to 14 had a similar objective: to program their robots in teams to complete a course and find the target.

Among others, Cantonal Councillor Carmen Walker Späh, ETH robotics professor Roland Siegwart, ETH rector Sarah Springman and astrophysicist Kathrin Altwegg praised the digital knowledge that was conveyed at these summer camps and highlighted how important it is to develop enthusiasm about technology among children.
