Some things could only have been invented by women.
The Global Women Inventors and Innovators Network (GWIIN), a non-profit organization, was founded to celebrate this women's creativity and entrepreneurship and to increase their success rate. Every year it awards women for their inventions of all type – science, high- and low-tech, design, arts, education, food.
This year, Dr. Fabia Gozzo, founder of Excelsus Structural Solutions, a spin-off of the PSI, and pioneer of the industrial use of Synchrotron X-Ray Powder Diffraction for the study of pharmaceuticals is among the nominees for the award in the category "Exceptional Creative, Inventive or Innovative Women in Micro-enterprise or New Start-up business".
