The Switzerland Innovation Park Basel Area offers an insight into its activities. The future home of the Park will be presented in a new showroom. Scientists from the University of Basel will also be presenting their latest developments here.

From mid-2022, the Switzerland Innovation Park Basel Area will be leasing a total of 6,000m2 in the GRID complex for innovation and commerce, which is currently under construction. The new showroom of the Switzerland Innovation Park Basel Area recently opened will allow visitors to see a model of the new GRID building, the GRID Campus of Collaboration. On 50,000m2, this will provide space for research and innovation in the fields of life sciences, biotech, public health and medtech.

The building was designed by Basel architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron and will be constructed by Senn Resources AG. Both companies have backed the creation of the showroom, alongside Economic Development Baselland and BaselArea.swiss, which operates the Switzerland Innovation Park Basel Area. The Department of Biomedical Engineering (DBE) at the University of Basel has also been involved. It will use the showroom to present its “latest developments in the areas of robotics, laser technology and virtual reality”. In addition, visitors will find information about the work of the Switzerland Innovation Park Basel Area and the startups that will be based there. They will therefore gain a comprehensive insight into the future of the life sciences cluster Allschwil.

The showroom is located on the ground floor of Gewerbestrasse 12 in Allschwil. It is open to all, though registration is required. In future, events will also take place in the showroom.
