The subsidiary of the German Lufthansa Group will move to new premises in the Switzerland Innovation Park Basel Area, Main Campus in Allschwil in summer 2025.
Lufthansa subsidiary Swiss Aviation Software is moving. The company will be located in the Hortus building on the SIP Basel Area Main Campus. The aviation software company will move its headquarters to the new building designed by architects Herzog & de Meuron, which is scheduled to open in June 2025.
This was announced by the real estate and planning company Senn. Swiss Aviation Software is currently located in the Bachgraben area of Allschwil. From October 2025, the company and its 320 employees will occupy two floors in the Hortus building.
Neighbors from other industries
Future neighbors in the new building will be the medical technology company Becton Dickinson and the "Switzerland Innovation Park Basel Area" (SIP), which will also use the Hortus building, according to a press release.
The office building is currently under construction next to the main building of the SIP campus and the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (Swiss TPH). The new building has a wood and clay ceiling system. This should enable the building to produce more renewable energy than it consumes, Senn writes on the website.
Swiss Aviation Software serves airlines and maintenance companies worldwide. The company specializes in digital solutions for aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul. At the end of 2022, the company changed ownership within the group. At that time, the airline Swiss transferred the company to Lufthansa Technik.
