First Building for Energypolis, Site of Switzerland Innovation Park West EPFL

New stage for Energypolis, Site of SIP West EPFL

The first building to house Energypolis in Sion will soon be ready for construction. The five-storey building will embody the vision of the campus, which is linked to the Switzerland Innovation Park West EPFL and the Switzerland Innovation Foundation.

It will house laboratories, offices and workspaces for companies developing innovative projects. On site, companies will have direct access to the expertise of researchers from the HES-SO Valais-Wallis and the EPFL Valais Wallis-Wallis, as well as to state-of-the-art scientific equipment, which is ideal for facilitating the transfer of technology from the laboratory to the economic fabric.

The Innovation Park is the final link in the value chain formed by the campus partners HES-SO Valais-Wallis, EPFL Valais Wallis and Fondation The Ark. Once operational, it will help to maximise the potential for synergies between basic research, applied research and economic valorisation. 

The building will be managed by Energypolis SA. One of the company's tasks is to develop the Energypolis Campus community by networking the actors of the area, while promoting interaction and synergies with the economic fabric.
