Switzerland Innovation Park Ost has appointed Dr. Jean-Philippe Doyen as its new CEO, strengthening its leadership as the St. Gallen-based innovation park moves into its next stage of development. Doyen joined the organisation on 1 April 2026 and assumed management responsibility from Dr. Hans Ebinger on 1 June. The next phase will focus on consolidating the park’s business model and accelerating its growth to further support companies and startups in Eastern Switzerland.
Doyen combines technology expertise with extensive international management experience. He holds a doctorate in Computer Science with a focus on Artificial Intelligence from Stanford University and has worked in Switzerland since 2009. During his career, he has led major innovation projects, global research and development organisations and strategic business units in technology-driven companies. In recent years, he has also co-founded two high-tech companies.
His appointment builds on the work of Hans Ebinger, who led Switzerland Innovation Park Ost through its foundation and development phase over the past four years. Ebinger will now concentrate on developing the Sensor Innovation Hub in Buchs, a joint initiative of OST – Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences, RhySearch and Switzerland Innovation Park Ost.
Located in St. Gallen, Switzerland Innovation Park Ost connects industry, research and education with the aim of stimulating private R&D investment and strengthening the innovative capacity of Eastern Switzerland and Liechtenstein. With Doyen now leading the organisation, the park continues its mission of creating the conditions for collaboration between established companies, startups and research partners.
