Robots can relieve humans of monotonous or physically heavy work. Collaboration between humans and robots is already possible today, but requires qualified personnel.
In this Innosuisse-funded impulse project, the Swiss Smart Factory (SIPBB) and the project partners F&P Robotics, nViso, mimacom, Institute for Human Centered Engineering (HuCE) and Haute Ecole Arc Ingénierie (HES-SO) have developed a system with artificial intelligence, digital process control, automatic learning and visual guidance.
The project pursues the following goals:
- A worker should teach a cobot how to perform a task, just as he/she would teach a human colleague.
- A cobot should be able to collaborate with a worker to complete a task together.
- This will allow Swiss companies to be more efficient and globally competitive.
